The vision of the Education department of London Ghana SDA church is to make our church the best place to nurture our children and youths in conformity to the teachings of Jesus Christ (Mark 9:42) and in compliance with Ellen G. White's (Education, p13) philosophy on True Education.
We strongly believe that one of the top priorities of a church is to maintain its offspring actively engaged in the spiritual being of the church. Christian education plays a vital role in helping to make this happen by practising True Education.
True Education, according to E.G. White is the harmonious development of the physical, mental and the spiritual powers that prepare the student for the joy of this world and for the higher joy in the world to come.
Aim
To provide Christian education that will boost the academic, spiritual and moral superiority of youth within and outside the church.
Objectives
1. To reinforce the learning of the youth and promote Adult Education in the church
2. Support the church schools - Sabbath school, Children and Youth departments
3. To keep in touch with Adventist students in non-adventist schools and Universities
FAYTH SCHOOL
It is in conjunction with the above objectives to promote the education of the church members that the Education department initiated Sunday tuition known as "FAYTH" to boost education of the youth and to promote Adult education within the church.
FAYTH is an acronym for “Foundation of Adventist Youth Training and Help” and a variant of the word “FAITH” meaning ‘Loyalty to man and God’. FAYTH began in Spring 2007 as Sunday tuition with a handful of students under the leadership of the Education Department. Amid faith, dedication and prayers, the student population grew immensely in Summer 2008. However, in an attempt to expand the tuition to a higher level, the management decided to suspend it in September 2009.
Since then, the Education team under the direction of God has worked hard behind closed doors to provide better service to our beloved parents and students. FAYTH has resumed since the 21st of February 2010. The fact that this name "FAYTH" is being used implies that; we at FAYTH have an obligation to reinforce and blend academic, spiritual and moral studies alongside the normal schooling of our children to inundate them achieve their life goals.
Purpose: The main purpose of FAYTH is to provide extra classes for students on Sundays alongside the main school tuition
